SHARE A FAMILY ADVENTURE HOLIDAY
Together with the well-publicised Mt Everest (8,848m) summit bids of climbers in their 60s, a young man called Johnny Strange has helped demonstrate that age is no reason for missing out on the beauty of the world's more challenging landscapes. In a series of high profile record breaking climbs, he became the youngest person to summit the highest peaks in seven continents. He completed this feat at the age of just seventeen years in June 2009.
Johnny began climbing mountains seriously when he was just twelve, as part of a rather unconventional family adventure holiday with his father. Together they scaled Mount Vinson Massif (4,892 m) in 2004, conquering the highest peak in the Antarctica continent, and leaving Johnny with six more continents to look down upon.
